What we collect

• Your account: your email address, and your name and email from Google if you sign in with Google.
• What you scan: the links and text you send, and the recipe we extract from them.
• Screenshots are sent to an AI model to read the recipe and are not stored afterwards. We keep only the extracted text. The one exception: if you report that a recipe was read wrongly and choose to include your screenshots, we keep them for up to 7 days so we can check what went wrong, then delete them automatically.
• Usage: for each scan, the time, source type, outcome, which AI model ran and what it cost. We use this to count your monthly scans and to run the service.
• Feedback you give: recipe ratings, “Looks off?” reports and “Didn’t read the recipe right?” reports, with what we read from the recipe at the time.

How long we keep it

• On a paid plan, your saved recipes stay until you delete them or your account.
• On the Free plan, scan results are held for 30 days so that upgrading can unlock them, then deleted automatically. You can delete them sooner.
• Screenshots you attach to a report are deleted automatically within 7 days.
• When you delete your account, we delete your recipes, reports and profile. Scan usage records are kept without anything that identifies you.

Who processes it

We use these providers to run the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (sign-in and database), and AI model providers [LIST THE ONES IN USE, e.g. Anthropic, Google via Vercel AI Gateway] to read recipes. Nutrition data comes from USDA FoodData Central. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Your rights

You can download everything we hold about you and delete your account at any time from the account page. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to correct your data, object to processing, and complain to your data-protection authority. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you.

Health information

Calorie estimates are general information, not medical or dietary advice. We don’t ask for health details and you shouldn’t send them.
